👋 MEET DEBORAH - Co-founder & Executive Director of Make it Matter introduces the launch of MIM’s Speaker Series, which will take place weekly on our social media platforms!

MIM’s speaker series will introduce professionals and families of neurodiverse youth in an effort to raise awareness about the costs associated with education support and clinical therapy and intervention.

The purpose of the speaker series is to shine a light 💡 on the financial obligations associated with having a neurodiverse child and supporting their individual developmental and educational needs, which are critical for their success.

We would like to thank everyone who attended MIM's Summer Block Party event this past weekend. Thanks to your generous contributions Make it Matter's first annual Summer Block Party fundraiser on Sunday, May 29th, 2022, raised just over $5300!

A very special thank you to our volunteers who worked tirelessly to organize and execute this wonderful community event!

We are so grateful for the sponsors who joined us for this event to Make it Matter's, to which the proceeds will directly support our upcoming summer projects:

  • Hire an Integration Aide (Shadow) who will offer individualized classroom support to 3 children with special needs, enrolled at our partner preschool centre, ADE - Académie de l'enfance, for a period of 8 weeks.

  • Hire an Integration Aide (Shadow) who will offer group support to 10 school-aged children with special needs, enrolled in the summer camp program at our partner learning centre, LEAD, for a period of 10 weeks.

  • Hire a Grant Writer, who will seek funding, grants and subsidies on behalf of the organization, which will enable Make it Matter to bring forth their projects.
